| Norton finishes outside match play draw at U.S. Senior Amateur
Tom Norton shot stroke play rounds of 76-81 to finish in a tie for 121st place at the U.S. Senior Amateur Championship. A two day total of 149 was needed at Mountain Ridge CC in West Caldwell, NJ to qualify for the 64-person match play draw. Jim Holtgrieve of St. Louis, Missouri claimed medalist honors with a total of 6-under 136.
Norton qualied for the championship at the sectional qualifier held at Wakonda Club on September 4th.
