Harry Burrell
Harry Burrell was widely known for his work as the Sports Information Director at Iowa State University from 1941-1978. Besides the work he did for the Cyclones, Harry also had a large impact on the game of golf within the state of Iowa. Mr. Burrell not only managed the Iowa Masters golf tournament at Veenker Memorial for almost 40 years, but was also a past president of the Iowa Golf Association and volunteered his time at IGA conducted championships. His work helped promote the game of golf throughout the state.
