22 | P articipants in the 2019 IGA Father-Son & Parent-Child, held at Jester Park Golf Course, battled it out on the 18-hole course, 9-hole par three course, and newly installed mini golf course for family fun and prizes. The Father-Son duo Brian & Burke Pitz, of Urbandale, finished two shots clear of their nearest competition in the Father-Son Open Division. They got things going early with three birdies on the front nine to shoot a (-3) 33. They followed it up with an even par back nine to post a (-3) 69. In the Father-Son Young Adult Division, the team of Isaiah and Sam Zoske, of Marshalltown, defended their 2018 title, teaming up to shoot a (-1) 71 to win by 10 strokes. In the Parent-Child Open Division, Maura and Ben Peters came out on top with a 79. They were off to a strong start with a 1-over 37 on the front nine, and held on with a 42 on the back to claim the title by two shots.
