Cooney posted rounds of 71-66-68-66 to amass a total of 271 (-17). South Dakota’s Justin Kolb and Minnesota’s Trent Peterson tied for second. In the Senior I Division, Jon Brown, of Adel, sealed victory after edging out Booneville’s Bret Taylor in the final round. In the Senior II Division, Dick Vetter, of Charlotte, North Carolina, outlasted Missouri native Ron Eilers and Robert Pomerantz, of Des Moines, to win the title with a 145 total (+1). 1 J.J. Gavin Hall birdied the seventeenth and holed-out for eagle on the last to post a dazzling 63 (-9), forcing a playoff with Ottumwa's Matthew Walker at 13-under par. Walker, a former Hawkeye golf standout making his third Professional start, edged out Hall to clinch the win on the first playoff hole. Rounding out the podium at 12-under par was defending champion Dan Woltman. West Des Moines' Rob Riggins fought his way to victory in the Senior Pro Division. He cleared by three over Bryan Haas.
