C edar Falls’ Betsy & Ryan Ratchford put on a show at this year’s Wife-Husband Championship. After an opening round 78 (+6), the couple tag-teamed to a phenomenal final round of 68 (-4) to win the 60th Iowa Wife-Husband Championship at Sunnyside Country Club, in Waterloo. The Ratchford’s impressive final round included five birdies and only one bogey en route to their five-shot victory, posting a 146 (+2) total for the championship. Finishing in a tie for second place with a 151 (+7) were the teams of Stephanie / Alan Johnson (Cedar Falls) and Julianna / Reed Burkholder (Forest City). Amanda / Ryan Lambert (Clive) and Diane / Tim Foss (Bettendorf) finished in fourth and fifth place, respectively. Cooler temperatures and blustery wind conditions at times made scoring difficult for many participants in the field. In the Super Senior Division Becki / Mike Wetter, of Mason City, claimed a two-shot victory over Joyce / Scott Hornstein, of Huxley.
