GOLF AT ECHO VALLEY T hough 2021 has been challenging for every industry as a result of the Covid pandemic, golfers all over have been blessed with the ability to participate in a safe outdoor activity. Echo Valley members played a record number of rounds this year, and many individual members set personal records for rounds played. The practice facility and 27 holes at Echo Valley Country Club provide our membership unparalleled access and opportunity. Whether playing the 18-hole rotation for the day, showing up to play the off 9, or spending time improving on the practice facilities, Echo Valley members were able to escape the chaos and enjoy the game. Some of our outstanding achievements were: Leanne Smith capturing Women’s Player of the Year, Joe Palmer winning Senior Player of the Year, Mike McCoy winning the Iowa Senior Amateur, and finally our women’s team of Lauren Backer, Leanne Smith, Val Weis and Jordan Rose claiming the Club Team title.
