IOWA JUNIOR GIRLS’ AMATEUR COLDWATER GOLF LINKS, AMES JUNE 21-23, 2021 T atum Depuydt, of Marion, took home the Iowa Junior Girls' Amateur title after playing an incredible final round of golf at Coldwater Golf Links. Depuydt recorded a three-round total of 225 and won the championship by three shots. Ames native, Eden Lohrbach, was the leader after round one. Lohrbach fired a round of 76 in 20 mph winds and finished two shots ahead of Paige Hoffman, of West Des Moines. Depuydt carded a 79 and shared third place with Kiki Bruner going into the second round. As the wind calmed down, more players started having success. Amber Henson, of Marshalltown, and Erika Holmberg, of Bettenforf, shared the low round of the day and jumped up the leaderboard after each shot 2-over, 73. Depuydt went into the final round in a tie for first place with Lohrbach at 12-over par. Depuydt carded a 75 and Lohrbach posted a 78 in round two while Hoffman posted a 3-over round of 74 and was paired in the last group for the final round. During the final round, Depuydt, Lohrbach, and Hoffman continued to battle for the top spot on the leaderboard. Scores remained close on the first nine (start on hole 10), but a birdie on Depuydt's eighth hole (#17) gave her a one shot advantage over Lohrbach. Two late birdies came on the final nine for Depuydt and they helped her clinch the win. Firing a 1-under 35 on the final nine for a 71 total gave Depuydt a three shot victory over Lohrbach. Depuydt Claims Iowa Junior Gi rls ' Amateur Tit le Tatum Depuydt of Marion saved the best for last with an even-par 71 in the final round. This was the low score of the tournament and propelled her to the top of the leaderboard.
