17 Founded in 2021, 'Greenside – The IGA Podcast' expanded its mission to deliver a variety of fun and impactful programs highlighting the game of golf in Iowa. Those episodes can be found on a variety of the channels – including Anchor, Spotify and Apple Podcasts. If you haven't listened yet or need to catch up – throw the cart in reverse and download a few. They might calm you enough to remember to not swing in the living room as you wait for the 2023 spring Iowa golf season. Don't forget – it is critical that the email associatedwith your IGA Membership (GHIN) is current as the IGA uses online tools to share and distribute information via email frequently throughout the entire year. We don't want you missing out on anything. The IGA Communication Committee was again honored in 2022 to recommend the following recipients of IGA Annual Awards in the six different categories to the IGA Board of Directors, which were approved in October and presented at our annual banquet in December. Those included the following: 9 Hole Superintendent Scott Rohlfsen, Jesup G&CC (as well as others) 18 Hole Superintendent Anthony Mieske, Crow Valley GC 9 Hole Course of the Year Gateway Recreation, Monroe 18 Hole Course of the Year Fort Dodge CC PGA Pro of the Year Jeff Moore, Finkbine GC Club Manager of the Year Deb Jaycox, Spencer G&CC - OTHER AWARDS - Volunteer of the Year Carolyn Frescoln, Norwalk George Turner Distinguished Service Award Rick Brown, Pleasant Hill The IGA looks forward to continuing to provide news, information, and more to golfers in the state of Iowa in 2023.
