19 Gateway Recreation Monroe, Iowa 9-Hole Course Jeff Moore Finkbine Golf Course, Iowa City PGA Professional Deb Jaycox Spencer Golf & Country Club Club Manager “It is a very fun, family-oriented golf course that brings our community to- gether.” - Kendra Kane, Member “Jeff has been a wonderful PGA Profes- sional since 2010. He has seen the growth of the facility culminating in the con- struction of the new Nagle Family Club- house. He continues to lead a wonderful staff to support golf in Iowa City. - Greg Mason, Iowa PGA ED “As a 40 year member of SGCC, I have witnessed about a 36 year decline in the restaurant business. Simply put, Deb has turned the place around. What was once a bit of a “ghost town” for a restaurant year after year, has now become THE place to enjoy hospitality, friendship, and quality servings.” - Steve Lensing, Member F rescoln, since 2013, has been responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising volunteer efforts at the Her- man Sani Tournament when the event is hosted by Echo Valley Country Club in Norwalk – typically every other year. Frescoln has seen enthusiasm grow year after year during The Sani, and in 2022 her volunteer team included almost 70 individuals supporting the event in various ways over the three days the competition was held. While 2022 marks the end of her role leading the volunteers at The Sani, her contributions over the years will not be forgotten. “Carolyn has been instrumental in the success of The Sani at Echo Valley since we first went there in 2013. Competitors have always been in awe of the sheer number of people who spend their entire day helping them find their golf balls or shuttling them from range to tee - she is the main reason why that gets done.” - Chad Pitts, IGA/IGAF Executive Director SEAN FLANDERS VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD CAROLYN FRESCOLN
