2023 IGA Yearbook

15 Started in 2021, 'Greenside – The IGA Podcast' has continued to expand its guest list with over 80 episodes now available. On page 18 of this publication you can see the 15 episodes that were added in 2023. Patrons include champions of major state-level events, P.J. Boatwright Interns, IGAF Scholars, USGA staff members, superintendents, and much more. Each episode is archived so if you've missed a few don't worry, you can catch up quickly on any of the main platforms. The IGA Communication Committee was honored in 2023 to recommend the following recipients of IGA Annual Awards in the six different categories to the IGA Board of Directors, which were approved in November and presented at our annual banquet in December. Those included the following: PGA Pro of the Year Scott Nugent, Ames Golf & CC Club Manager of the Year Rheanne Kinney, Wakonda Club 9-Hole Superintendent Rande Giesking, Gruis Recreation Area 18-Hole Superintendent Chris Coen, Glen Oaks Country Club 9-Hole Course of the Year Sibley Golf & Country Club 18-Hole Course of the Year Rice Lake Golf & Country Club 2024 applications for Annual Awards become available mid-summer so consider nominating a deserving person or course in your area.
