2024 IGA Yearbook

117 Ainsley Wilson may be only 14, but she showed everyone she can compete at the highest levels of junior golf. Ultimately, that led her earning IGA Junior Girls’ Player of the Year honors. Wilson, of Iowa City, a rising high school freshman stood at the top of several leaderboards this summer. Wilson's schedule included IGA tournaments, Iowa Junior PGA Junior Tour events and American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) tournaments where she racked up quite an impressive resumé. Throughout the IGA schedule, Wilson was T2 at the Iowa Girls’ Junior at Cold- water Golf Links, carding a three round total of 216 (+3). Later in the summer she would showcase her length as a 14-year old at the 100th Iowa Women’s Amateur, held at Sunnyside Golf & Country Club. She would post a 54-hole total of 233 (+16) good enough for T16th. She also made a statement on the Iowa Junior PGA Tour racking up a win, four top fives, and a T6 finish. In AJGA play Wilson walked away with two top-10 finishes and a top-20 finish from events that took place across the nation. Rounding out the events where she captured points was a fourth place finish at the 2024 Midwest Junior Championship and a T10 finish at the U.S. Girls' Qualifier. Wilson has made her mark across multiple states and will be a force when she enters her freshman year of high school in 2025. 2024 girls' player of the year Ainsley Wilson RESULTS IAPGA Spring Jr Open 1st PCC Jr Open T3 TPC Deer Run Jr Open 2nd Iowa Girls' Junior Am T2 Midwest Jr Champ 4th AJGA Jr All-Star 5th Iowa Girls Jr. PGA T6 UHY St. Louis Jr T12 Iowa Women's Amateur T16 Mid-Summer Classic T3 US Girls Qualifier T10 AJGA Wichita Jr 6th STANDINGS 1 Ainsley Wilson 2533 2 Morgan Rupp 2440 3 Chloe Bolte 2335 4 Eden Lohrbach 1737.5 5 Rylee Brockhouse 1687.5
