6 FROM THE PRESIDENT I want to begin by extending my deepest gratitude to Steve Jermier for his extraordinary leadership as President of the IGA. During his tenure, Steve demonstrated a level of dedication that has set a new standard for what it means to serve. Not only did he oversee the successful operation of the IGA and the Foundation, but he was also instrumental in bringing the vision of Golf House Iowa to life. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a committed and talented leader on our team, and I look forward to the continued positive impact he’ll make in the years to come. This summer, we witnessed remarkable achievements on the course, with talented golfers from across Iowa showcasing their skills at our championships. Congratulations to each of our champions for their hard work and perseverance, with a special acknowledgment to our Players of the Year! Nate McCoy took home the Men’s Division title for an impressive fourth consecutive year, demonstrating both his consistency and excellence. Anna Jensen made her mark by claiming the Women’s Division title for the first time—a tremendous accomplishment. In the senior categories, Jon Brown emerged as the champion in the Senior Men’s Division, Geri Huser took top honors in the Senior Women’s Division, and Dave Gaer secured the title in the Super Senior Men’s Division. In our junior divisions, we celebratedAinsley Wilson as the Girls’ Junior champion, while Braeden Nelson captured the Boys’ Junior title for the second year in a row. Each of these champions faced intense competition, and their victories are a testament to their dedication and passion for the sport. I’m proud to say that Iowa golfers have been making waves far beyond our state borders, representing us with pride and skill at national USGA championships and major tournaments around the world. Their performances have not gone unnoticed; people are asking, “What’s going on in Iowa?” Congratulations to all who have showcased Iowa’s talent on these prestigious stages. Your accomplishments are a source of pride for our entire golfing community, and I’m eager to follow your continued success in the coming year. One of the true highlights of our championship calendar this year was celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Women’s Amateur Championship, held at Sunnyside Golf and Country Club in MIKE PURCELL, IGA PRESIDENT Top-18 finishers at the 100th Iowa Women's Amateur Championship held at Sunnyside Golf & Country Club in Waterloo.
