His work focused on promoting golf by helping to organize tournaments and ensure their smooth operation, which enhanced the experience for participants of all ages. Lederer played a vital role in managing tournament logistics, supporting players, and assisting with competition management. In addition to his tournament involvement, Lederer contributed to IGA outreach programs at his home club, Cedar Rapids Country Club, encouraging more people to participate in golf. His efforts significantly impacted the success of the IGA's summer activities, showcasing his strong commitment to promoting and growing the sport of golf in Iowa.
