the IGA.
It is an IRS Approved 501(c)3 public charity. All gifts to the Foundation
are tax deductible.

Junior Golf and Player Development
A core purpose of the IGAF is to support the development of future players. The IGAF has established “Grow
the Game” grants to support specific programs in Iowa. The funds come from the IGAF general fund as well as
specific donations to Junior Golf from the general public. If you would like to make a donation for the specific
support of Junior Golf Programs please contact the IGA/IGAF office.
In 2017 the IGAF increased its financial support for Junior Golf Programs in Iowa and continued to provide staff
and volunteer support for junior competitions and the fundraising efforts of Allied Organizations. Here is a listing
of events and organizations supported:
• Swings with Kids (Golf in Schools) Program: IGA “Grow the Game” grants funded start-up programs for Boone
and Ogden School Districts.
• Sponsored Swings with Kids golf outing to raise money for the statewide program.
Siouxland Youth Golf Association:
• Donation to support programs.
• Provide free Golf Handicap Computation for all WJGA members who sign up as well as rules of golf and
handicap education (Note: This service is available to any Junior Organization that wishes to participate. For
more information contact Katelynn Hogenson at the IGA/IGAF office.)
• Annual sponsor and participant for annual Skywalk Golf Classic Fundraiser in February.
• Hole Sponsor for annual Champions Cup Fundraiser/Golf Outing.
