The Iowa Golf Association (IGA) Club Representative serves a vital role to both the IGA and their home club. The position of an IGA Club Rep acts as a contact for the IGA and exists to assist in the flow of information between the club, its members and the Association. Please appoint an individual from the club (non-employee) to be your IGA Club Rep for 2024. The position of IGA Club Rep is designed to be one that is fun and rewarding. It will not create a burden or consume great amounts of time. It will give the opportunity to develop and enhance golf programs at the club level and to promote amateur golf in Iowa.

IGA member clubs that participate in the IGA Individual Membership Program and use the GHIN service offered through the IGA are considered to be compliant under the IGA’s license with the USGA. Please review the responsibilities listed in Appendix A of the Rules of Handicapping and complete this agreement confirming your compliance.

Every club must have a Handicap Chairperson, and the Handicap Chairperson may not be an employee of the club. If an employee is listed as the Handicap Chairperson, your club will not comply with the World Handicap System.

In addition to the Annual Club Fee all IGA Member Clubs agree to support and use the services provided in the Individual Member Program. The Individual Member Dues represent more than 90% of the funding that delivers the ‘for the good of the game’ initiative provided by the IGA. Individual Member Dues will be billed at $25 per golfer, per year in 2024. The IGA Handicap Service (GHIN) must be used exclusively at your club. The IGA bills for Individual Members three times a year: April 15th, July 15th and November 15th.
