2025 Herman Sani Scholarship Application

The Iowa Golf Association, through the IGA Foundation, annually awards scholarships in memory of Herman Sani who served the association for more than 30 years.  The purpose of the scholarship is to assist individuals to further their education.

Each recipient receives $8,000 ($2,000 per year) over a consecutive four-year period of full-time undergraduate study. The committee will consider variations of a four-year undergrad period (such as time off for a church mission or other service) as long as the student returns as a full-time undergraduate student.

Any graduating high school senior and resident of the State of Iowa with experience or background in golf is eligible to apply.

Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance, extracurricular activities, and leadership qualities, not on golf accomplishments or ability. Scholarships are awarded and recipients are selected solely on the basis of the written application.   The decision of the Herman Sani Selection Committee is final.

Note: As a condition of accepting the scholarship, recipients must attend the Scholarship Awards Banquet on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Hyperion Field Club in Johnston.
