56th Iowa Cup Matches
Sept. 28-29 | Hyperion Field Club | Johnston
The 56th Iowa Cup Matches take place this coming Thursday and Friday (September 28-29) at Hyperion Field Club. This annual competition is comprised of a Ryder Cup style format where the top Iowa Golf Association Amateurs will face off against the top Iowa Section PGA Professionals.
The first two rounds of team competition include Four-Ball and Foursome matches. The final round of the event will consist of singles matches.
Tim Taylor of Ankeny will be the IGA honoree while Ken Schall will represent the Iowa PGA. Both have been tremendous supporters of their respective organizations, but also of the game of golf as a whole.

Iowa Cup Match Format:
Round 1 – Four-Ball Matches – 18 Holes, 1 point per match
Round 2 – Foursome Matches (Alternate Shot) – 18 Holes, 1 point per match
Round 3 – Singles Matches – 18 Holes, 1 point per match
TOTAL POINTS – Round 1 = 10 + Round 2 = 10 + Round 3 = 20 = 40 Total Points
