Players with disabilities are encouraged to participate but are not required to do so. All players, regardless of whether they have disabilities or not, are encouraged to play on Friday. Championship players receive a lower entry fee for the Friday event. All other players must register as a team of four ($500 per team).

IOWA ADAPTIVE OPEN INFORMATION
Last spring we announced that our newest championship – the Iowa Adaptive Open – would launch in the summer of 2025. The entry process is now open and available for all eligible players.
The Iowa Adaptive Open will be held on Sat & Sun, July 12-13 (with a fundraising event for the Iowa Adaptive Golf Association on Fri, July 11) at Terrace Hills Golf Course in Altoona. We are excited to share that Praire Meadows Racetrack & Casino has agreed to support this event as a title sponsor.
The event will feature competition across up to 15 different sport classifications/divisions as defined by the U.S. Adaptive Golf Alliance (USAGA), such as players with arm and leg impairments, amputations, blind golfers, and those with neurological and intellectual impairments.
Prizes will be awarded across all divisions with participants and naming overall champions in Open, Senior, Super-Senior, and Women’s Divisions. While there certainly will be competition during this event, we want to encourage ALL eligible golfers to participate, no matter their golfing skill. We are confident it will be a fun event whether you shoot a low number or not.
To sign up, you MUST have a player profile created on the IGA’s online entry system (don’t worry, it’s free!). If you have a GHIN number, you are encouraged to include that when creating your profile. If you do not have a GHIN number, no problem, you can still create your profile and get signed up. Click on the various buttons (clear buttons overtop of the main image at the top of this page) to accomplish these tasks.
If you have any issues at all in getting registered, please contact [email protected] or give us a call at 515-207-1062.
