Game to try?
Getting started couldn’t be easier: choose any participating course, play your round, and log your score in the GHIN app. You’ll automatically get an invitation to join the challenge right in the app. Play as often as you like—your best three net scores will set your spot on the live leaderboard.
There aren’t any prizes (for now), but GHIN Challenges is a simple and fun way to track your game, connect with fellow golfers, and bring a competitive edge to your rounds.

The Leaderboard is ranked based on the Total Net Score of each golfer’s best three scores, based on the Course Handicap and their Handicap Index®.
Net Score = Adj. Gross Score – Course Handicap – Total Par for tees played
What is the difference between a ranked golfer and an unranked golfer?
A ranked golfer is a user who has posted at least three scores in the Challenge. An unranked golfer is a user who has posted fewer than three scores and needs to post more to receive a ranking.
Are both ranked and unranked users positioned on the leaderboard?
Yes, ranked users are given a position number based on their standing amongst all ranked participants while unranked users (those with fewer than three scores) will be positioned on the leaderboard under all ranked users based on their total net score but will NOT be given a ranking number.
What happens if I backdate a score?
Net scores posted to a Challenge will not get adjusted if a golfer backdates a score and gets a roll forward Handicap Index adjustment for the day they posted to the Challenge.
What happens if I leave a Challenge and rejoin the same one?
If a user rejoins the same Challenge, their previous scores will not be counted towards the Challenge and their qualification status is reset.
Who can delete Challenges and remove participants?
Only the IGA and USGA Administrators have rights to delete Challenges and remove participants.
